Tenovus Scotland We are proud to announce that we have been successful in our application for funding from Tenovus-Scotland to start our first clinical trial of 2013. Richard Stretton, James Chalmers, and Tom Fardon will be leading on the study, looking into the effects of pulmonary rehabilitation in bronchiectatic patients.

After my recent careers focus talks, many people have asked me about the possibility of doing some research or audit within the chest department, and some are even interested enough to want to do an SSC or 4th year project with us! I have a great opportunity for a student to do a little bit of research with me. We have a large database of referrals we need to search through to work out what our cough referral burden is. Then we need to come up with guidelines for primary care to follow before referral to secondary care.
