Respiratory Medicine in Dundee
Aims
Born of a desire to provide support to phase 2 students at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, the concept has swollen to greater aspirations. Now our aims are
- To provide support for anyone interested in respiratory medicine in Dundee
- To provide opportunities for interested students, doctors and other healthcare professionals to take part in respiratory based research, both clinical and academic, and to promote respiratory research in the area
- To showcase the work carried out by the respiratory department within NHS Tayside and the University of Dundee, and highlight areas of excellence of practice
- To provide a forum for discussion around respiratory medicine

The site is in a state of transition, having been previously used as a portal for the Undergraduate curriculum here in Dundee, but the site will morph with time to provide
- The blog, containing updates of recent activity, and interesting links in the respiratory world
- Cases of the week, if there’s something interesting to discuss
- Current research project work, with opportunities for students, junior doctors, or other healthcare professionals to be involved in our work
- Links to useful guidelines and web resources
- Recently published work from the unit
