Normalisation can take between 4-6 weeks and it is for this reason that all patients with pneumonia must return to clinic after this time period to ensure that their X-Ray has normalised. We can be fairly sure that the pneumonia changes will have goner and therefore any ongoing changes may mean their is another disease process (eg. cancer).
2) Upper lobe venous diversion is a sign of left ventricular failure.
